Travelling by plane requires the biggest reduction possible of your luggage, so I had to leave my ultimate favorite l'oreal silver shampoo behind. As the days passed, I started noticing the first yellow tints on my hair and that rung the bell that it was time that I bought a silver shampoo, choosing from the variety that Hungarian cosmetic stores had to offer. My options were seriously limited, leading me to buy a shampoo that didn't really attract me. Swiss O Par Silver Shampoo comes in a blue bottle of 250 ml and is free of silicons.Its price was approximately 2,50 euro, which is really cheap (first red flag!) and I was surprised to find such cheap silver shampoo.

The shampoo color is somewhere in between blue and purple with a lightbodied texture (second red flag!) and a pleasant but strong smell of freshness. First, I put it on dry hair for 15 minutes and then rinsed and applied it again on wet hair for about 45 minutes. It might sound like a lot of time but everyone with grey hair knows it is a high maintenance color and requires a lot of dedication. The lather was almost white (red flag again!), which made me lower my expectations regarding its effectiveness. 

The result: almost like I hadn' t used a silver shampoo! There were certainly some grey pieces of hair but the overall picture was a grey-yellowish color and I wasn' t pleased at all to see that all of the previous process was a waste of time. If we take into consideration the time that I left it on my hair, it is safe to say that it is definitely not working efficiently. In conclusion, I wouldn't repurchase again and I can genuinely say that I loathe it!
